Coeliac Disease
I have been providing dietary education for people with Coeliac Disease in both adults and adolescents for over 11 years working closely with Gastroenterologists and GPs to ensure the best clinical care is provided.

After being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease being educated on how to follow a gluten free diet is essential. Following a gluten free diet will help reverse the intestinal damage from consuming gluten and improve your gut symptoms.

In the first year of diagnosis you may require more regular input and support. I can contact your GP and arrange for more regular blood tests to monitor the condition and how well you are adhering to the gluten free diet. Once you are confident that you are managing well on a gluten free diet it is recommended in national clinical guidelines that you have an annual review. If you require more regular follow up this can be arranged on an individual basis

I can provide you with support on how to follow a nutritionally balanced gluten-free diet whilst minimising the risk of nutritional deficiencies which can lead to conditions such as osteoporosis and iron deficiency anaemia.
